Our Story
The Beginning
Before Vida, there was Augustine's Salumeria — Marc and Brianne Taxiera's beloved neighborhood Italian market in Mamaroneck. Augustine's earned a devoted following for its house-made pastas, cured meats, and warm, community-first approach.
But Marc had a deeper culinary dream: to bring the bold, vibrant flavors of Spain to Westchester County in a setting that felt both elevated and deeply welcoming. In 2024, just minutes from White Plains and Pleasantville, that dream became Vida.
Named after the Spanish word for "life," Vida is built around everything that makes a great meal more than just dinner — the kitchen, the cellar, the people at the table.

Executive Chef
Chef Marc brings the bold, layered flavors of Spain to every plate — pairing local ingredients with a global perspective. His cooking honors tradition without being bound by it.
